Vancouver's Pacific National Exhibition (the PNE) is an annual fair that takes place for two weeks at the end of August in beautiful British Columbia. The fair, which combines agricultural competitions with amusement entertainment is a yearly tradition in Vancouver, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. Every year, the PNE hosts top entertainment acts, great food, wonderful craft exhibits, special events such as the Superdogs, and is known for its famous PNE prize home which is always on display on the fairgrounds before being won by some lucky fair-goer. All this, combined with the world-famous Playland and it's 50-year-old wooden roller coaster, makes the Pacific National Exhibition attractive to tourists and locals alike. Whether you are just looking for fun on the Midway playing games of chance, wishing to relax in the beer gardens, or you wish to review some of B.C.'s prize-winning livestock, the PNE has plenty to offer for everyone. All-day ride passes on the large variety of amusement rides will challenge even the heartiest stomaches, stomaches that are often filled with those Little Donuts, elephant ears, or cheeseburgers topped with fried onions. The PNE is a longstanding tradition in Vancouver, and this year promises to be just as enjoyable as the rest. So whether you want to stroll through the market buildings looking for bargains, fill up on corn dogs and perogies, or watch the timber show, you're certain to have plenty of fun at the Pacific National Exhibition. Find out more about the Pacific National Exhibiton at the PNE website. |
